Sr. SQA Engineer (Back-end integration testing)

Responsibilities:This Senior SQA Engineer will apply their considerable server application and networking knowledge to testing eCopy?s software product integration with market-leading email, database and fax server solutions.  This hire must possess solid network troubleshooting skills, and be very comfortable configuring and testing within complex Microsoft Windows domain environments.  The Senior SQA Engineer is expected to collaborate within a cross-discipline team setting of developers and QA engineers to formulate, implement, execute, and where appropriate automate, effective and efficient test strategies. The ideal candidate will be equally as comfortable as a significant individual contributing SQA engineer, and as an occasional hands-on leader of a small test team.

 

Requirements:   6+ years of overall software quality assurance and/or software engineering experience, with exposure to the full product development cycle ? from requirements through post-release.  Extremely comfortable planning, documenting and executing highly effective test strategies in ?time-to-market? driven software release environments.Strong understanding of Windows server and desktop operating systems:  Windows 2003, XP and 2000.Highly skilled building, configuring and testing within complex Windows domain environments.  Solid understanding of Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP and DNS.  Knowledge of proxy servers.  Adept at network testing and troubleshooting.  Experience with network diagnostic and traffic simulation tools.Significant experience installing, configuring and testing at least one of the following server-based email solutions:  Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes.Significant experience installing, configuring and testing within the following database environments:  Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.  Experience configuring and/or testing within a Novell Netware environment is a plus.  Experience configuring and/or testing within a fax server environment is a plus.Test automation experience, preferably with a commercial functional test automation tool such as Mercury QuickTest Pro, Mercury Winrunner or Segue SilkTest.1+ year(s) of programming experience in at least one of VBS, C++, Java or C#. Strong team player with a ?can do? attitude.  Routinely demonstrates flexibility and is a very capable multi-tasker.  Highly organized.Good communication and documentation skills.  Comfortable mentoring and training others.B.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
