Sr. Sales Engineer (Pre-Sales Post-Sales) / Object Technology
My client, an international software product development company, has an opening for a Sr. Sales Engineering Consultant performing pre- and post sales support. The company is a leader in developing middleware technology-based software and a strong player in the relational database market.
This position covers the western portion of the country and can be based out of your home/office. Ideally the candidate would reside in southern California, but anywhere along the west coast is acceptable.
The Sr. Sales Engineer provides technical/business support in sales presentations,
conducts customized product demonstrations, and answers customer inquiries concerning product offerings and technical specifications. This individual will participate in sales calls to deliver solution presentations including new product functionality and in-depth architecture discussions. This individual will also work internally with the consulting group and sales to complete RFP responses, proof of concepts, and provide input to the initial implementation approach and duration estimates. This individual will also provide some post-sales functions in assisting with the installation of the software at the client site.
Requirements include:
- 6+ years prior experience within technical consulting; working with senior and middle management
- Experience with Object Technology is mandatory
- Experiences with Healthcare or HL7 is ideal, but is not mandatory
- Experience with JAVA, C++, Web Development, GUI interfaces would be ideal
- BA or BS degree required
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident required.
Travel estimated at up to 60% (depending on your specific location)
