Sr. Siebel Software Developer

Experian, a global leader in providing information solutions to organizations and consumers, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Sr. software developer to join our team at our Costa Mesa, CA headquarters. 

 

 

Participates on the Corporate Systems development team as a key contributor to support and small enhancement work on the Siebel Call Center Application. Provide leadership and technical proficiency to programming assignments, including offering guidance and support to other project team members.  Day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Provides technical support for the Siebel Call Center application.  Scope of work spans production support, bug fixes, small enhancements and some limited project work.

2. Liaisons with other technical staff, DBAs, network and operating system support teams as appropriate to complete assignments.  Provides technical expertise in Siebel applications and interfaces.

3. Recommends improvements in terms of program development and system performance.

4. Participates in requirement and design reviews to proactively determine detailed programming/customization requirements.

5. Develops solutions to complex problems requiring innovation and experience using Siebel Tools (all object layers), Siebel eScript, JavaScript, Siebel EAI, and EIM, working on several tasks at one time.

6. Uses Siebel technical and application knowledge to perform problem research and come to resolution.

7. Responsible for systems performance and resolution of production incidents in a Siebel 7.X environment, which may require 24 hr/day and/or 7 day/week coverage.

8. In conjunction with management, leads the effort to develop efficient and effective process and procedure standards for all technical development.

Represents management at various status and technical meetings as necessary

 

Skills Needed: 
Must have advanced knowledge of Siebel 7.7 application software.  Siebel 7.8 is as plus.
Advanced knowledge and skill in use of Siebel Tools (all object layers), Siebel eScript, JavaScript, and Siebel interfacing techniques (particularly EAI).
Business functional as well as technical understanding of Siebel Call Center.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of relational databases (DB2), Unix and WIN2000 operating systems.
Advanced understanding of the techniques of structured programming and structured systems analysis.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
8-10 years of related experience with business application development projects, including 5-7 years of Siebel experience.
Minimum of BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Siebel 7 certification preferred.
