Veoh is looking for extraordinary engineers with experience building scaleable web applications, the ability to work independently and the desire to be part a team building the technology behind really, really, big ideas.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an engineer to join our growing team developing the Veoh network, a web-based application for finding, sharing and distributing full-screen, TV-quality video over peer-to-peer networking. This position will work as part of a team developing core components of the system that drives the user experience finding videos, interacting with other users, uploading content and other key system functionality. Responsibilities will include core feature development, system analysis and design, participation in architectural reviews and system integration.

Required Skills and Experience:4+ years software development experience Bachelors degree in computer science or related field Experience as a major contributor to the design and implementation of a large-scale, multi-tier, consumer web application Strong role in system analysis, design, and implementation in large scale projects Server-side Java, J2EE, Servlets and database-based Java applications Strong knowledge of relational database design and SQL preferred An entrepreneurial and self-motivated personality

Desired Skills and Experience:Spring, JSF, and Hibernate?preferred Experience with multimedia delivery and video Experience with scaling and clustering web applications History of working in small companies as they have grown their services to millions of users preferred
