The software development team is responsible for creating, enhancing and supporting applications which Paylocity utilizes for our operations and our clients use to better manage their payroll and HR needs. The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for development using Microsoft Technologies to create, design, code, maintain and enhance our web-based software applications.


The Sr. Software Engineer will actively be involved in the complete software development life cycle including technical design, hands-on coding, unit testing, performance tuning, maintenance and upgrades. The ideal Software Engineer should be:

Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5-7 years in web software development experienceMust have at least 3 years hands-on experience with ASP.NET/C#, SQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML and Web ServicesMust be proficient in object-oriented design and developmentMust be able to work effectively with Product Management and other team members to implement complete business solutionsMust be effective and creative in problem solvingBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, technology or related field or equivalent experiencePayroll or HR benefits experience highly desirable
