Sr. Software Engineer, Quality, Web Hosted Services

Position Summary:

Adobe's new hosted services organization is focused on bringing businesses to market that consist exclusively of web-delivered software-as-a-service. The current publicly available applications are Create PDF (createpdf.adobe.com) and Breeze meeting (adobe.com/products/breeze), but more are on the way.

We are looking for a highly motivated senior person to add to our Quality Engineering team. You must be experienced with testing web hosted software, in particular test automation, load testing, and unit test development. We are a distributed team so good communication skills are essential. You'll also need to help assess product readiness using test case management and defect tracking systems to collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize data.

Knowledge & Skills:

? 7+ years experience testing web-based applications.
? Programming skills so you can develop a suite of white box automation and load test tools (Java, Javascript or Flash Actionscript experience preferred).
? Comprehensive understanding of quality assurance practices and methods.
? Be a natural at surfacing bugs and troubleshooting problems.
? Experience and understanding of issues related to large-scale web application testing.
? Experience with enterprise-class software products including Application Servers, RDBMS, Security, and hosted services.
? Ideally some experience testing Flash applications.
? Be adept with multiple methods of communication (in-person, email, IM, videoconferencing) and comfortable interacting with remote teams.
? Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
