Learn.com?s Product Development team has opportunities for experienced Sr. Software Engineers who enjoy providing a high level of hands-on software development expertise. We?re have opportunities at our Sunrise, FL headquarters and to work remotely in the Denver, CO area.
Key Job Functions:
? Provide Lead Software Engineer with regular status reports coding progress.
? Document designs.
? Develop design specifications.
? Keep abreast of associated technological advances in the marketplace.
? Work with Product Management with requirements to write design specifications, programming specifications, and documentation
? Resolve support and quality issues and provide support level 3 support team for LearnCenter
? Develop web-based applications using AJAX, ASP, .NET (ASP.NET and VB.NET), JavaScript, XML, XSL, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic and T-SQL.
? Design, write, and maintain object-to-relational software layer and understand database schemas.
? Identify and work with strategic and technology partnerships to discover new product solutions.
Skills and Abilities:
? Action-oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to
ensure the deliverables are met on time.
? Ability to manage multiple projects, estimate project completions while meeting deadlines.
? Ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
? Applicable Object Oriented programming and web design/development experience.
? Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve promptly
? Strong problem solving, data analysis, design, and testing skills.
? Quick learner, eager to leverage new technologies in a dynamic team environment
? Ability to mentor other software engineers and provide support both technically and in leadership
? Ability to lead smaller development units and provide Lead Software Engineer with regular status reports.
Experience:
? 5+ years hands on experience building dynamic web application using: ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, XML, XSLT
? 2+ years experience with .NET (ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#)
? Detailed knowledge of various browser capabilities
