Job Description:

Interface with customer and software development engineers. Evaluate project work products and processes with respect to contractual and organizational acceptance criteria, ensure adequate root cause analysis and corrective action, attend a variety of reviews including all software-related product and process reviews, review boards, and configuration control boards, conduct various audits of the software development process, gather and analyze data for program metrics and provide quality status to project and management stakeholders.


Develop, maintain and control project quality system which is ISO 9000/AS9100 and Engineering process compliant. Ensure design assurance during software engineering planning, design, release, change and verification.

The successful candidate will have to be a catalyst for Performance Excellence and Mission Assurance.

The successful candidate will be a high energy/self starting individual who questions the status quo in order to be the catalyst for Performance Excellence and Mission Assurance. The candidate must be capable of achieving respect from Engineers as well as the Program Manager and be sought out by the program team for solutions related to program issues and Quality.

Security Clearance required

Required Skills:

-Knowledge of Software Engineering processes


-Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication and presentation skills


-Ability to provide effective and influential leadership


- Knowledge of a high order language (e.g. C, C++) processes, software standards and models (e.g. J-STD-16)


-Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 and the Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)


-Ability to drive effective Root Cause analysis and Corrective / Preventive Action


-Ability to analyze quality metrics to identify opportunities for improvement


Desired Skills:

-Knowledge / Experience in Six Sigma and Quality

-American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (e.g. CSQE, CQA, CQM, CQE),

-Knowledge of System Engineering processes

-Knowledge of Earned Value, software development tools, proposals

-Lead Program or Project Management experience

Required Education(including Major): BS in a Technical or Scientific Discipline.
