CentrePath?s Magellan DataPath Manager is intelligent data path management software that provides real-time event correlation, topology management and predictive performance monitoring across multi-vendor, multi-domain, and multi-protocol networks. The software enables customers to pinpoint the root-cause of events across the entire data path, from the HBA, through the SAN switches, fibre channel extension gear, and the DWDM and SONET devices. This includes support for products from companies including Brocade, Cisco, McData, and Nortel. CentrePath?s solutions meet the stringent requirements of business continuity, replication, and other mission-critical environments where voice, IP and data traffic are converging on a single network. This position is for a key member of the Quality Assurance team, testing Magellan DataPath Manager and its software components in interesting network configurations.
Responsibilities include:
? Test the product and its components thoroughly in various test phases: manual, smoke, regression, load, stress and performance
? Create software test plans and schedules
? Automate testing
? Analyze, understand and concisely report software defects
The successful candidate will have direct experience in:
? Test tools - WinRunner
? Languages - Java, XML and some C++
? Frameworks - J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Log4j, JUnit
? Development tools - Eclipse, Ant, Subversion
? Databases - Oracle, PostgreSQL
? Operating Systems - Solaris, Linux, Windows
Requirements: BS in Computer Science and 3-5 years? experience.
Storage and optical networking experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be proficient with testing databases and the use of database tools; possess strong knowledge and experience in Software Quality Engineering practices and procedures with testing experiences in a Full Development Life Cycle of complex commercial software products.
