Sr. Software Test Engineer

Overview:

The Platform Test Team is looking for an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team. We are responsible for testing the technology that drives WildTangent. Our projects include API level validation of our game engines, ensuring that our digital rights management solutions protect the games we publish, confirming full operation of our e-commerce site and account management services, and providing tools used in pre-release game testing.

 

Responsibilities:

This individual will be a member of a multiple project teams and reporting to the Platform Test Manager. You will be responsible for:Contributing to the planning and scheduling of each projectCreating Test Assets on a per project basis (test cases, sample data, test reports)Using existing tools to execute and/or develop automated tests and modifying them as necessaryExecuting and recording results for manual test casesTesting client-server applications Project code reviewsRegression testing with new buildsOther tasks as assigned by the Platform Test Manager in support of WildTangent

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years experience in software testing covering standalone, client-server, and web based applications. That experience will include much of the following:Exposure and familiarity with Internet protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, and SSLAbility to write and analyze at least two of the following: C, C++, C#, VB, JavaStrong knowledge of relational database concepts, database operations and internals, fluency in SQL2+ years direct experience testing SQL databasesTest case creation for complex test areas, including API level validationTest case analysis with the intent to identify incomplete test coverage in a complex environmentProficient defect reportingInvolvement in the full cycle of multiple software development projectsStrong Windows familiarity and troubleshooting skills from Win98 through W2k3 ServerAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities and work toward team goalsDemonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript
