Sr. Tech Lead - Java/Unix/DB2/JDBC

Lead position for the New Technology Certification Infrastructure project

 



The ideal candidate will a combination of a project lead and technical lead with a bigger slant on the "technical" side.

 

Duties: Relieve subject matter experts from being heavily involved with technical decisions. *Will need to be able to evaluate proposed fixes from the certification team *Be a technical decision maker with only minor direction  *Able to follow formal fix request approval process *Must be able to essentially do all the filtering of fixes  *Must be able to motivate and drive the team and keep upper management updated on status and roadblocks *General knowledge of MS- Project needed.

 

Experience:

- 5+ yrs ? very Sr, level - Java J2EE (business application coding, not web page creation)

- 3+ yrs JDBC, relational Database

- High level of UNIX command line expertise ? needed for trouble shooting issues.

? greping, searching log files, etc

? UNIX monitoring tools such as lsof, thread dumps, etc

- 3+ yrs Project Lead (different than a Project Manager)

This will be a 6 month project with potential to be hired on a permanent basis by the client.  Location is Ann Arbor, MI.  Pay is $100,000 salary plus, with excellent benefits available.
