Sr Test Dev (SNMP) Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Seeking engineers with at least 5+ years of software testing experience and a strong NMS background in the Networking/Telecom industry to execute functional testing on network management applications for 8820/8860 Tellabs Multi-Service OS Products. These applications allow users to graphically configure, monitor, provisioning, and maintain wide area network devices and topology. Qualified candidates must have a BSEE/CS, MSEE/CS preferred, and have technical knowledge in several of the following areas: NSM, SNMP, CORBA, TMF-814, IP, OSPF, MPLS, ATM/FR, PNNI. Proficiency with Unix and TCL programming is preferred. In addition, qualified candidates should have extensive GUI testing experience, hand-on skills with diagnostic and test tools, network traffic analyzer such as IXIA or SmartBits. Qualified candidates will work closely with the development engineers to design and execute test plans, document test progress, and participate in the automation of test suites. Effective communication skills, flexibility, a strong teamwork approach, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary for success.
