Job Description

JOB TITLE: Application Analyst
DEPARTMENT: STAR Support


PURPOSE OF JOB (JOB SUMMARY): Responsible for responding to product application support questions from customers regarding the company?s software. Analyze problems with software applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommends solutions to customer application questions. May utilize special domain expertise related to specific applications of the software to resolve customer problems. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data require a review of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine support action.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide customers with application assistance and consultation with assigned product area of expertise.
2. Coordinate support with other McKesson product lines when interface and /or integration issues are encountered insuring the customer views.
3. Identify and document reported customer issues.
4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
5. Communicate customer status, concerns, and issues to the appropriate account manager, management, and support personnel or other McKesson resources on a routine basis or as given situation warrants.
6. Ensures adherence to all standards.
7. Participates in designated groups, projects, and/or processes.
8. Team player, willingness to work on any issues related to the success of McKesson.
9. Adheres to I.C.A.R.E.




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education: Typically requires Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Typically requires 2+ years of healthcare or industry experience.
3. Desire candidate with either STAR Patient Accounting experience or Hospital business office (patient accounting) experience.
