Support Programmer/Analyst (SQL, VB, VB.NET)

System Products International, Inc has an immediate need for an energetic software programmer with strong SQL and VB6/VB.NET skills to work in our Support Department.

Job responsibilities include:

- Troubleshoot and debug SQL/VB code related to client issues.

- Perform periodic software updates to clients

- Perform data conversions from legacy systems to SQL server

- Diagnose, isolate and document both software and hardware problems.

- Provide support using remote access methods such as VPN, TCP/IP, terminal services, VNC, and PcAnywhere.

- Configure remote access devices.

- 10-25% travel to client sites


Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years experience in Visual Basic 6 programming

- Minimum 5 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Transact SQL

- Must be familiar with tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL 2000 Server Enterprise

- Manager, Query Analyzer, and Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.

- Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills

- Strong problem solving skills demonstrated through previous work experience and/or schooling

- Commitment to creating an environment that focuses on and promotes customer satisfaction

- B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience


No relocation allowance is available. Local candidate will be preferred. Your technical knowledge will be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits package.
