Support Specialist
Fairfax Imaging, Inc., a leading developer of image-based solutions for government and Fortune 100 corporations, is currently looking for a Software Support Specialist. Our systems are image-based, high-volume forms and financial document processing solutions, which are considered by our clients as mission critical.
Required Skills:
The ability to interface over the telephone with clients, IT, technical support personnel; hence, excellent client relationship skills are a must.Excellent software/system troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.Capacity of installing, testing, and debugging software programs.Good knowledge of C/C++ and Visual Basic is required.Basic knowledge of networks, TCP/IP, and ODBC.Basic understanding of imaging systems, OCR, and scanners.Capable of installing, testing, and debugging software programs.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Basic knowledge of Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows 2000 Server.
Desired Skills:DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle experienceSQL programming experience.All of these programming skills can have been acquired at the ?user level?. I.e., no hard core programming experience necessary
Minimum experience:A technical degree with 1 - 3 years of technical experience dealing with computers or networks.
