Systems Director

This position is in support of a cash management system developed and operated under a

long term relationship with the U. S. Treasury.

 

The postion involves a significant level of interaction with clients within the U. S. Government and financial institutions that provide services to the U. S. Treasury.

 

SYSTEMS DIRECTOR II

 

This Systems Director II position requires a BS degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or the equivalent combination of experience and education.

An advanced degree (i.e., MBA) is preferred.

 

This position requires a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in progressive systems management, computer system design, operations management, programming, systems, and the computer market.

 

Must have adequate business knowledge of the unit supported. Experience within a banking environment is preferred.

 

Must be highly organized with excellent decision making, analytical skills, problem solving, presentation and leadership skills.

 

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of management including executive management.

 

Possession of an extensive understanding of information technology with an ability to apply that knowledge at a strategic level influencing technology solutions to match business goals and objectives is needed.

 

Must have the ability to leverage available software, project methodologies and other corporate resources to complete essential functions of the job. The effective use of communication technology is essential. Possess ability to understand internal and industry information to determine the impact on computer systems and business segments.

 

Proven team building and relationship management of multiple constituents within business and technology.

 

 

Requires ability to effectively communicate with and make strategic recommendations to senior and executive management as well as all levels of internal/external service partners. In addition, interacts with, and advises line of business partners regarding planning, scheduling, procedures, and problem resolution.

 

In order to be successful, must be able to listen and interpret needs of multiple groups in order to determine the strategic direction for systems and process implementations.

 

This position represents the LOB or business unit on various Bank committees/teams.

 

This position requires working in a dynamic, high production, deadline-oriented environment. Extended hours (weekend, 7X24) are frequently required when working to achieve project deadlines or to assist in resolution of production system problems.

Some travel will be required.

 

 

Additional Preferred Skills:

Experience within a financial environment is preferred. Department of Treasury application experience is a plus.
