Systems Engeneer Consultant- Oracle Database
JOB SUMMARY: ORACLE Database.Serves as an expert in database systems and applications analysis and development. Undertakes the most complex database systems and applications projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous database issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Ensures that database improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team. Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff. Monitors project schedules and costs.
Requirements: JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems or related field is strongly preferred. Certification in Microsoft, Database, and/or Project Management is strongly preferred.
Experience: Eight years of experience in Oracle database administration. Three years of project management experience is strongly preferred. Progressive experience in database analysis and installation is strongly preferred.
Knowledge: Proven knowledge in advanced, multi-platform databases and application packages. Must have a thorough understanding in database analysis and design techniques. Proven knowledge in database administration as it relates to a mainframe, network or relational environment. Must have a thorough understanding in data manipulation, transformation, and cleansing tools. Must have demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.
Skills/Competencies: Must have the ability to analyze the most complex databases that have multiple platforms, widespread impact and call for interpretation and coordination of highly technical and complex fields of information. Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills. Must possess interpersonal savvy and well-developed project leadership ability. Must have strong project, process, and change management skills. Must possess negotiation skills. Must have strong oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel, senior management and vendors.
