POSITION:  Systems Integration Specialist

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO:  Manager, Application Development

 

Position Summary:

The Systems Integration Specialist will be a permanent member of our Application Development team and will play a critical role in the organizations strategic objectives.  The Systems Integration Specialist applies a high level of technical knowledge and experience in the BizTalk and Microsoft platform to help solve business and application performance problems.  Leads the integration of internal and external systems as well as performs system optimization.  Works within the IT team to implement, develop and monitor the BizTalk infrastructure.  Provides support and training to employees as well as troubleshoots issues when they arise.

 Primary Responsibilities:

 

o  Focus on the integration of legacy and next generation systems.  

o  Works with the database team to help optimize performance in our ERP platform.  This will require a focus on hardware as well as software based performance optimization methods. 

o  Works on the integration with external vendors and partners via EDI and other enabling technologies. 

o  Provides technical support in the BizTalk platform as required.  This support will include break fix as well as performance optimization and maintenance duties.  Will also be expected to deploy and configure BizTalk solutions as required.

o  Works with different project teams in the analysis and design of ERP and non ? ERP solutions that require systems integration and workflow management.

o  Involved in the unit and integration testing of solutions.

o  Adheres to all departmental and team policies for design, development, testing and deployment documentation. Additionally, the team member will follow all documented design and coding standards.

o  Creates effective user manuals for developed solutions.

? Technical LearningREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

? College degree in Computer Science or Systems/Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience

? Hands on experience integrating legacy systems.

 

Technical Skills Required:

? 5-10 years of Microsoft centric application development with at least two years of .NET development.

? Minimum 1-2 years experience working with BizTalk Server plus significant exposure to BizTalk 2004, including familiarity with BizTalk 2004 features such as orchestrations, rules and adapters.

? 1 year BizTalk setup, administration and development experience.

? Experience deploying, administering, and supporting BizTalk 2004 solutions.

? Experience with EAI solutions using BizTalk in a ERP platforms as well as a AS/400 platform

? Experience developing applications using SQL Server as the database

? Experience developing web services using the VB.Net language.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

? Solid knowledge and experience in the following: .Net Framework, SQL, XML, Web Services, Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server.

? Understanding of messaging standards such as EDI a PLUS

? Experience with Enterprise integration to ERP systems.

? Experience with Visual Source Safe
