Systems Sales Engineer

Persons in this position are fully responsible for supporting all aspects of the technical sales cycle, including technical discovery, presentation, and demonstration of Ascential Solution, including ability to write proposals in the form of RFP/RFI responses, managing technical validation, including ability to support onsite Proof of Concepts with installation of software and building of application solution, and managing post-sales relationship. Individuals in this position are expected to drive Ascential's rapid transition from selling an ETL tool for projects to selling enterprise-level solutions consisting of software, methodology, and services to C level executives in major corporations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of data quality issues and their resolution. Major Field of Study:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Business; MBA preferred. Candidates should have the following additional skills/knowledge; strong business knowledge and understanding of key business drivers for technology; experience and proficiency in analyzing enterprise integration requirements; strong communications skills--both written and verbal; basic understanding of programming languages in a Unix/Mainframe environment; fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project products Visio or A; practical development experience.

Desired Skills
Minimum of 6+ years of systems analysis and IT project management experience; preference for strong hands-on experience as a SAP sales engineer and/or SAP project implementation consultant; experience in multiple verticals, including financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, CPG, high tech, insurance, and telecommunications; enterprise architecture experience; basic understanding of SQL.
