Tech Lead, Web Services/Perl Development

Tellme's Personalization products need a very strong technical leader. In this role, you'll initially contribute and tech lead one project. Later the
role will expand to managing two or more technical projects and their
developers. As the manager, you will work with marketing to obtain
requirements, the dev team to determine architecture, design, and
schedules. And of course, you will deliver products! The job offers
plenty of growth opportunities as a manager, technical leader, and
visionary for Tellme's incredibly rich information products.

You must have experience managing teams of 3+ developers on projects
with quarterly release cycles.
Strong Perl skills are required since initially you will be contributing
to the project directly, and participating in reviews, architecture, and
design later.
Strong communication skills are important since this role interfaces
with both clients, marketing, and operations.
MySQL familiarity is a big plus.



Requirements

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

? Minimum of seven years software development experience.

? Recent experience building voice and web applications and modern methodologies and technologies.

? Strong knowledge of web applications development tools, technologies, languages (JSP, XML, Perl, VXML a plus)

? Proven ability to develop robust, efficient code in core areas of complex projects.

? Experience with full product development life cycle

? Experience with unit testing.

? Strong communication and relationship skills.

? Proven leadership abilities

? Passion for developing customer-friendly applications
