Job Description The Technical Analyst is responsible for managing the application environments to provide high availability and reliability of computer service including; software, security and control procedures, scripts, emergency controls, user maintenance, performance monitoring and general problem resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and control the applications in an operational environment and their general performance by using established routines and procedures.

Provide assistance in application support areas, including problem resolution, reporting and tracking. 

Interface with Vendors and internal TWTC departments to coordinate system/business  requirements to meet industry guidelines.

Maintain expected Service Level Agreements in outage resolution.

Support testing and user acceptance of new functionality and/or systems.

Interface with vendor support maintenance contact(s) and hardware support.

Under supervision operate system software/programs/scripts to monitor operating conditions and provide system logs and performance reports.

Manage the application environments to provide high availability and reliability of computer service including; software, security and control procedures, scripts, emergency controls, user maintenance, performance monitoring and general problem resolution.

Monitor logs(system logs, process stacks, connectivity logs).

Provide needs analysis and customizations for EBSS systems (PeopleSoft, Ceridian etc.)

Interact with Time Warner Telecom trading partners in regards to file transmission issues, file formatting issues, network issues.

Support may include 24 x 7 coverage

Participate on projects as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications:
Education/Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or commiserate experience.

Minimum of 2 years in systems maintenance and development (PeopleSoft/Ceridian preferred)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in systems maintenance and development (PeopleSoft/Ceridian preferred) to include SQL Scripting (in both SQL Server & Oracle), Crystal Reports, and SQL Server & Oracle environments.

Functional experience supporting HR (HR, Payroll & Benefits) and/or Financial Systems (Accounting & Financial Analysis)

Excellent working knowledge of computers, specifically MS Office Suite.

Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Needs to be an independent self-starter requiring minimal day-to-day guidance.
