Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant in our Fair Lawn, NJ office. The ideal candidate takes a great deal of pride in their work, has a high level of integrity and accountability, and wants to contribute right away.

Primary Responsibilities:  Identifying consulting opportunities; estimating, proposing and managing consulting engagements; and working closely with clients on technical consulting engagements. Work will be performed both at the client site and off site.  Work is typically within the tri-state area but occasional overnight travel may be required.  Types of consulting include technical site planning, installation and upgrades, troubleshooting system related problems, database maintenance and training and consulting in special reporting and analysis tools.

Minimum Job Requirements (Experience):  A broad range of exposure to a variety of manufacturing and distribution organizations in a technical or consulting role. Experience with installation, setup, and configuration of mid-market ERP, Financial, Inventory Management, Manufacturing and Distribution applications, such as Macola, Syspro Impact, Best/Sage Software, Great Plains, etc. A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems including Windows 2000/XP Pro, Windows 2000/2003 Server, Windows NT4.0 Server; A basic working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Manager; Report writing experience (i.e. Crystal); SQL server and database experience and proficiency; Network infrastructure knowledge and experience.

Specific Skills:  Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions with minimal supervision; A strong work-ethic and sense of pride in a job well done; Excellent communication skills with a wide range of clients at all levels of an organization; A commitment to working in a close-knit team environment; and a valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Additional skills/qualifications considered a plus:Experience with AccessExperience with Macola ES and/or Progression Network setup, maintenance in Microsoft environments (Windows 2000 Server, Windows NT Server, Windows Peer-to-Peer, etc.) Basic understanding of Microsoft Visual Basic (VB) and/or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Basic understanding of Cube design
