Job Title & Purpose:  Technical Consultant

 

To provide technical support and advice at client sites throughout all technical stages of TEMENOS product implementation projects. Specific focuses will be on solving basic technical problems but is exposed to more complex problems, and works under supervision from more senior consultant/manager.

 

Location: Miami Florida, USA

 

 Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 Analyze client business/functional requirements and provide support on implementation projects related to technical processes, depending on the consultant?s knowledge and the specific business procedures.Reviews clients? requirements against TEMENOS T24? functionalities, and set up the technical architecture and tools necessary to maximize the benefit from Temenos products.Undertakes any development activities during Client implementation such the installation of custom enhancements, interfacing with external systems, or building conversion programs. Assist with setting up a production environment and on running the products. This would include database administration, validation of the client?s technical setup, and conducting environmental testing to ensure user acceptance and global quality of the solution delivered. Works with CS Senior Technical Consultant in providing technical documentation for internal and external use. Participates in functional User Application Testing, and support go live operation. Provide regular update and feedback to project supervisor on implementation success, potential delays and technical problems that could arise so as to help achieve goals.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Technical knowledge: In depth knowledge of INFOBASIC, JAVA, ORACLE 9 (or above) operating systems, knowledge and familiarity with the functionality of UNIX, AS400 and NT, particularly disc structures. Exposure to mainframes.

 Educational & Proficiency level: Bachelors degree and/or equivalent of 3+ years work in software technical consultancy, ideally in a banking environment. Needs demonstrated experience of working on site with clients and must have excellent communication skills.

 Languages: Fluent in English, Spanish is also preferred.Others:  Ability to coordinate among the various departments and resources. Interpersonal and effective writing skills are a must. Training of others and knowledge sharing abilities.Travel: Can be over 50% to client sites
