Technical Lead

Position Description:  The Performance and Scalability Lead is responsible for establishing and executing the strategy around identifying and collecting the necessary metrics to ensure the performance, stability, and scalability of Client's suite of J2EE enterprise applications.

Qualifications include:

- Proven experience establishing and leading performance labs.

- Minimum hands-on experience of this type of work of 5 years

- Proven experience identifying and measuring bottlenecks in multi-tier enterprise applications (database, app server, and web server)

- Expertise in industry tools and best practices for load and volume testing, including LoadRunner, WebLoad, and Rational.

- Familiarity with configuration, management, and deployment of J2EE-based applications, including use of EJB, Servlets, JAAS, and JDBC technologies.

- Familiar with multiple J2EE application servers, including WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss.

- Familiarity with configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting of multiple RDBMS systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.

- Expertise in management and tuning of Windows, Solaris, Linux, and AIX operating systems.

- Familiarity with configuring and tuning web servers, including IIS and Apache.

- Desirable: experience in capacity planning of J2EE enterprise application

- Desirable: experience with open source tools & technologies for development, performance testing and tuning,

- Must have familiarity with scripting and automation tools & languages.

- Strong customer orientation.

- Strong communication skills.
