Video & Network Security Specialist
Provides leadership in the overall design and architecture for Cisco?s next generation Audio/Video Appliance which will change the entire video conferencing industry. Primary focus will be Voice/video and Data integration systems, VoIP, TDM, Systems/Network Security, Firewalls, Tomcat security, JSEE. Cisco Plans Its Home InvasionRequirements: Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Voice and data integration systems (VoIP, TDM) Telecom (H.323, SIP, IVR/VXML) Experience and support using software products including Tomcat (JSP/J2EE) and operating systems including Linux/x86 (RHE) Thorough understanding of system security concepts (encryption, tunneling, fire walling/packet-filtering, B2B IP communications) Strong experience using debugging tools (packet sniffers, port scanners, system call tracers, debuggers) Demonstrated experience working with minimal supervision, both independently and in a collaborative team environment Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to work with personnel of various levels of technical background. Demonstrated experience in the support of enterprise applications particularly telecommunications adjunct systems Excellent written and oral communications skills Permanent US work authorization or transferable H1b with a minimum of two years remaining eligibility.Opportunity is in San Jose, CA. (Relocation assistance is not available) Desired Skills/Experience: Writing JAVA applications that can go through firewalls.Experience in the design and development of large-scale, highly available, global applications in a distributed computing environment. Understands the technical issues related to deploying internet, intranet and extranet applications. General knowledge of IP telephony solutions. Video conferencing with IP telephony Hands on development experience on Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Meeting Place or any Multi point Video conferencing solution including video conferencing bridges. Experience in the design and implementation of complex technical solutions Experience in VPN, Global networks, WAN and LAN architecture, Internet connectivity, and voice/video domains and data convergence. Thorough knowledge of applicable networking technologies. Ability to work in a fast paced, project based environment.
