Technical Support I

Job Description: The nature and scope of this effort will be to provide general support to the organization. Tasks assigned may be repetitive in nature or may be special assignments. Resources will be expected to respond to the needs of their customers by providing a high level of customer service, managing their time effectively, and the ability to communicate to all levels of business partners to solve and assist with daily requests. The candidates we choose will be flexible to work any shift between the hours of 6AM - 8PM, have above average customer service skills and will be a professional team player.

Required Skills:

35% Candidate must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office products, primarily Access and Excel (FrontPage experience preferred).

30% Efficient application development under Visual Basic .NET ( 6+ Months of VB.Net programming experience preferred)

20% Must be familiar with Structured Query Language (SQL)

15% Understanding of database management concepts required ( creating, querying, and maintaining relational databases)

Experience using HP Service Desk a plus!

Experience supporting Windows XP

Basic knowledge of and the ability to use major features and functions of the Internet/Intranet Browser (Some HTML)

Experience with PC hardware installation and configuration

Technical aptitude and general knowledge of workstation hardware, operating system, and applications

Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Lotus Notes Collaboration Database, MS Outlook electronic mail

Strong written/verbal communication skills, organizational/customer service skills, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, self

motivated, professional and reliable, ability to work in diverse groups, and the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy are required.
