Technical Support Specialist (Seattle, Washington)

OZ Communications, the leading developer of mobile IM and Email Solutions, is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join its Customer Support Team,  in its office in Seattle,Washington.

 

As part of the CS department, the Technical Support Specialist will be an expert in supporting OZ end-to-end solution for our external and internal customers.  The job involves supporting production environments for our clients (SLA?s with Wireless Operators and IM/email portals, Integrators and test group working on the pre-production systems) across the US and Europe.

 

*Key Responsibilities:

 Provide troubleshooting and product support on the production and PPE systemsProvide Tier II (on-pager) support to the OZ NOC for critical production issuesPerform remote upgrades or modifications on the production and lab systemsReport product or solution problems and follow-up with engineering on resolution; update customer on statusEnsure customer satisfaction through reporting, follow-up and appropriate problem closureWork with engineering to improve system monitoringDocument known problems and train NOC team Develop internal tools

 

*Requirements:

 

? Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

? Possess good hands-on knowledge of Unix-like environments (preferably Linux or Solaris), routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewall, Security,

? Must be familiar with J2EE environments, Oracle or other SQL DB

? Must have experience with network troubleshooting, script programming (C-Shell, Perl, KSH or other)

? Must have experience with or exposure to large deployments in a telecommunications environment as well as dealing with customer issues under time pressure

? Must have an interest in mobile networks and wireless protocols
