The Chordiant Senior Technical Instructor and Courseware Developer will be accountable for contributing to the development of the global corporate technical training initiative. This position will deliver Chordiant technical product training (Chordiant Enterprise Platform and related courses) to customers, partners, and internal resources. In addition, this position will also be responsible as the primary contributor into the development of technical training courseware.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical training to clients, partners, and internal resources maintaining or exceeding SLA targets

Coordinate with curriculum developers on technical training content and materials (overhead slides, manuals, lab exercises) used during training sessions with clients, partners, and internal resources.

Implement revisions to sustained course materials as necessary to improve technical training effectiveness.

Interact with clients to establish training requirements for proposed customized technical courses. Implement customized training program when applicable. Assist with the enablement of the North America based training team

Assist in the development of a Chordiant Technical Certification Program, and execute on program. Be the primary technical instructor for the North America region. In addition, be available to deliver training in destinations outside of North America.

Technical Training Delivery

Assess readiness of students for meeting course pre-requisites. Coordinate with Chordiant CSM regarding client training environment readiness. Maintain adequate delivery satisfaction statistics to drive program success. Provide management with report on training satisfaction metrics. Conduct needs assessments as necessary to determine the training requirements of customers, partners, and employees.

Assist with pre-sales support, post-sales technical implementation support, or product installation when needed. Act as a liaison between to customer when setting up classes/ transformation programs. Present seminars/updates to Chordiant?s Consultants. Provide support on sales calls when required throughout the entire sales cycle. Provide guidance to sales staff. Consistently look for additional opportunities for business growth with a particular focus on additional training opportunities for customers and partners.

Courseware Development

Assist with maintaining updated product materials as new products or versions are released. Fulfill course ownership role by producing training courseware, labs and sandpits. Create courseware and design specifications using current techniques and tools required by the client. Follow Chordiant?s standard applications development techniques and practices for courseware development. Provide appropriate documentation (for example in program code and for hands-on or case study exercises). Implement appropriate quality control processes (for example by performing code reviews and following industry standard testing practices). Keep current with the latest versions of applications development software, techniques and practices. Research and develop new ideas in applications development. Ensure quality of material produced maintains or exceeds agreed SLA Levels. Supervise training and courseware development projects, develop project plans and coordinate resources as needed within the scope of the project.

Requirements

Bachelor?s degree in Computer Sciences or related discipline. 1-2 years of relevant work experience as a java developer. Proficient with OO design and development (Java or C++) as well as some OO Analysis (UML); supported by concrete tool knowledge for code generation as Rational Rose. Experience with IDE like WSAD, Visual Age or equivalent as well as configuration management and versioning tools . Well educated in:J2EE architecture, Java technologies, Various databases such as Oracle, DB2; Application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic; Application integration technologies (JMS, MQ Series, CORBA). Experience with UML modeling tool such as Rational Rose.

5-7 years of professional technical instructor/trainer experience. 5-7 years technical curriculum planning and development experience. Superior communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel 50-80%, including destinations around the world. Experience with a software company required. Industry experience desirable in Financial Services, Insurance, Telecommunications. Call center knowledge desirable. Excellent people and presentation skills are required.

Ability to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively with local and or remote personnel/management in order to provide fast and effective problem resolutions. Superior communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be team-oriented, possess excellent organizational and written skills, and demonstrate the ability to teach.
