Technical Writer II is responsible for creating, standardizing and maintaining documentation. This includes designing and writing training guides and user manuals. Technical Writer II is also required to mentor less experienced technical writers. - 1) In-depth technical knowledge to comprehend technical programs/data
2) Highly experienced in transforming technical data into an easy to use format for both technical and non-technical users
3) Knowledge of industry documentation standards
4) Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
5) Ability to mentor less experienced team members
6) Experienced with document editing tools such as MS Office software, screen capture software, graphics packages, RoboHelp, VISIO, etc. - Minimum Educational Qualifications - Bachelor degree in English or related field - Minimum Experience Qualifications - 3-4 years of related work experienceBehavior Characteristics:
Familiar w/User Exp Design disciplines & Brand standards highly desired. Broad exp w/and/or familiarity w/web standards & styles across these subjects a plus: visual, writing, interaction, advertising, accessibility, & technical.
