Acting as a primary technical writer on a project, the Technical Writer III supports the following responsibilities:

? Work as part of a department to define and maintain standards for overall company documentation system, including product documentation, design/requirements documents, marketing materials, public relations documents,  and web sites.

? Work as part of a project team that is responsible for defining, developing, testing, and packaging part of the Q product.

? Use all available resources to gather business and technical data about modules of the CSS software

? Read and understand the content of all requirements documents, including the architecture documents.

? Write, edit, and proof all product documentation, including online help, user guides, mapping documents, batch documents, reports documents, and so on.

? Write, edit, and proof all operations documents, including database, system, installation, and configuration documents.

? Write, edit, and proof marketing and all other external documents for a variety of delivery methods, including hard copy and web delivery.

? Edit the writing of other technical writers and provide constructive feedback

? Write, edit, and proof content for the CSSSoftware.com.

? Support a large and changing workload that includes updating all documentation for one or more projects.

Leadership:

? Work with and mentor Technical Writer I as necessary.

? Help define standards for document storage.

? Post documents and do other site-level administration tasks on CSS Portal (i.e., Sharepoint).

? Participate in defining all internal processes that include or affect the Documentation department.
