3H Technology is seeking a Technical Writer with experience in software products for government clients. This position is located in Reston, VA.

Responsibilities include: ? Interviewing operations, engineering, and customers in both group and individual settings to clearly determine the documentation requirements for a project or release ? Planning multiple steps of documentation delivery based on internal and external dependencies, develop a schedule for the project, and deliver to that schedule ? Based on detailed engineering documentation, developing useable and readable customer documents ? Developing clearly written user, administration, installation, troubleshooting, and requirements documents that allow a task to be performed without assistance ? Developing documentation that is clearly organized to facilitate usage ? Developing printed and online documentation based on best practices for single sourcing information.

Desired qualifications include: * Experience with Rational tools and Use Cases development * Understanding of Object Orientation * Familiarity with concepts of Enterprise Portal, Knowledge Management, and Business Process Management.

Candidate must have a proven ability to independently produce technically detailed, conceptual, procedural, best practice, administrative, and troubleshooting documentation. This person must possess solid analytical capabilities and a strong understanding of technology deployment processes and strategies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential. This person must be able to work well within a team oriented group environment and be flexible to a dynamic governmental procedural project management process. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience writing technical documents in a technology environment.
