ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned.

 

1.  Provide functional and technical expertise within a domain area, such as Diamond, AT2, Games, Processes, Systems, Networking, Hardware, and/or Test Automation.

2.  Contribute in establishing, revising and verifying quality standards, processes, and procedures for assigned projects.

3.  Review and contribute to product requirements and design specifications during planning stages of software development life cycle.

4.  Contribute to the integrity of the test plans, test data, test environment, and coordination with support areas for specific projects.

5.  Develop appropriate test plans & test cases from working closely with developers and designers to ensure quality products are delivered to customers.

6.  Evaluate and test new or modified programs and documentation by using various test methods.

7.  Execute manual and automated tests, and report results as required.

8.  Establish, setup, configure and maintain test environments as needed to test software.

9.  Report identified defects in the software.

10. Work closely with developer.

11. Assist in design and development of automated tests as needed to ensure maximum test coverage of products.

12. Lead development team in testing effort of projects as assigned.

13. Automation script design and development using development techniques such as Object-Oriented design.

14. Coordinate with appropriate Engineers to evaluate automation alternatives and propose solutions.

15. Establish work estimates.

16. Compile, interpret, and present test results.

17. Evaluate, recommend and implement appropriate test tools.

18. Strong Communication Skills; written, verbal and presentation.

19. Good problem solving/debugging skills.

20. Self-directed and highly motivated.

21. Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May lead team in testing efforts of projects as assigned.

Train and mentor other QA team members to obtain cross-functional team environment.

 

Education/Experience:BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience of combination of experience and education.Possess solid software engineering skills and must be capable of writing quality code

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as product functional requirements, engineering design specification, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write test documentation and detailed, intelligent defect reports.  Ability to speak professionally and effectively with management, team members and developers in order to ensure product quality is attained.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to accurately estimate percentage complete on assigned tasks.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to determine priorities on tasks and use common sense in dealing with issues that arise which may become a hindrance in obtaining individual task and/or team goals. Ability to write, interpret and follow a variety of instructions; in written, oral, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

-  Experience with the following is required: Windows Operating Systems (2000, Server, XP), basic knowledge of DOS, TCP/IP

-  1 year experience using Visual Studio

-  Strong scripting skills (e.g. PERL, C++, SQL)

-  MS SQLServer and Database administration

-  Network Administration and configuration

-  PC Hardware troubleshooting and configuration

-  MS Office/Outlook
