Trading Operations Manager

 

Mercury Markets is a small technology company that builds automated trading systems for the global financial markets using unique algorithms based on human group behaviors.

 

We are seeking a well-organized person with strong analytical skills and a broad technical background to maintain our automated trading operations.

 

Candidates should possess the following characteristics:Market experience in financial position management (as a clerk or in the back office) and technical abilities in electronic markets Ability to support the upkeep of system hardware and software Ability to multi-task (e.g. managing a variety of system checks and tracking performance)

 

The Trading Operations Manager responsibilities will be to ensure the automated systems are operating and ready to trade at all times. This will includePreparing our "trading robots" for operation each day Updating strategies as needed Monitoring trading performance Executing manual trades when necessary to even up the trade-book Maintaining an archive of market strategies Undertaking minor research projects using our in-house tools and metrics

 

The Trading Operations Manager will work primarily with the trading team and will be trained to troubleshoot software problems and to maintain careful system oversight, including the detection of trading errors.

 

The Trading Operations Manager will also interact with all of the participants that directly contribute to system readiness and actual trading. This includes software development, performance simulation, and new feature or strategy testing.

 

Software coding skills and/or experience dealing with the .net environment (C#) would be a plus but not required.
