Training Manager

OBJECTIVE

Develop and manage training for Hyphen employees and customers.  Expand offerings of training and develop new delivery venues while standardizing overall training programs.

 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Work with Hyphen Solutions management to establish the direction and priorities for the group and develop training programs for employees, customers and potential customers

?  Develop and continuously improve training methods to control and enhance individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops for exempt and non-exempt employees

?  Manage the design and development of training products, materials, and services - including curriculum and program development

?  Develop and implement a coherent training strategy that uses multiple training modalities - traditional classroom, self-paced on-line and instructor-led on-line programs

?  Work with HR to develop and maintain a library of resource materials and self-study training programs

?  Design an evaluation strategy and manage it to ensure training programs are effective at developing employee and customer knowledge, skill and performance

?  Solicit feedback from customers, employees and management on program effectiveness and use that information to continuously improve training programs

?  Develop and monitor training budgets and ensure programs are cost efficient and effective

?  Manage training operations and work to streamline and continuously improve operational processes

?  Sell and justify training objectives and costs to customers

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

?  Bachelor?s degree in Adult Education or Instructional Design & Technology preferred

?  Minimum of 3-5 years experience managing a training function

?  Strong background in instructional design and performance improvement including all aspects of needs assessment, training design, development, and measurement of training effectiveness

?  Experience in using instructional technologies to increase the accessibility and reduce training expense

?  Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and oral, required

?  Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a fast paced changing environment

?  Homebuilding or construction experience or industry knowledge preferred
