Position: UDB DB2 DBA Location: Rolling Meadows, IL 60008

Job Description:


UDB-EEE DBA on AIX (pSeries). UDB DBA(ideally version 8) on AIX pSeries (with parallel extender) and DB2 on Mainframe.

Will work in a Data warehouse environment which is mixed with Oracle 9.2 DB's. support the full development lifecycle and production support of a Data Warehouse environment for a large global financial corporation.

The DBA role requires strong communication skills working with the application staff and business users.
Will be involved in the development of large database structures to ensure a high degree of performance and scalability.


Technical skills essential for this assignment:


Installation / Configuration of UDB ESE
Application Performance and Tuning System Performance and Tuning Filesystem Layouts (SMS/DMS) Physical Design (ER and Dimensional) SQL Tuning Partition Layout and Maintenance Financial Services Background Good Communications Team
Advocate SW Skills Needed:AIX 5.2 ? 5.3 UDB v8.1.7 - v8.2 Unix Scripts TNG Scheduler Erwin Modeling Tool IBM Tools and Utilities BMC SmartDBA NetBackup


Compensation and other relevant details:


1. We are looking only for people willing to join us directly as W2 employees.
2. W2 salaried with full benefits or W2 hourly all-inclusive rates.
