VB.NET Web Developer

You would be working on our web sites including an e-commerce site, our intranet and reporting tools using VB.NET and IIS 2.0. We’re looking for a VB.NET programmer who has 2-4 years of solid professional work experience developing with VB.NET and ASP.NET. The person in this position will frequently interface with other departments, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working directly with non-technical staff. Our ideal candidate will be organized and able to multi-task and work on many different projects at one time. We have a small company atmosphere so we react quickly to market demands and we’re looking for someone who can keep up with our pace. In this position you will be working with senior developers and reporting to the Director of Technology. 3 Keys: 1. Candidate must be able to program in VB.NET and ASP.NET. We don’t want someone looking to learn .NET technology; we want someone who can program in .NET technology. 2. Candidate must have 2+ years experience working in a professional environment - not freelancing or consulting. 3. Candidate must have a good personality and have the ability to work with non-technical staff in both the Marketing and Customer Service Departments. We will need to see examples and source code of a VB.NET or ASP.NET application you have built. This is a direct hire, full-time position, so you will have to do all work onsite between regular business hours Monday - Friday.
