Visual Basic Programmer

Chloe Foods Corporation (www.chloefoods.com) is a long established food manufacturing and distribution company located in Brooklyn, New York.  We have an immediate need for an experienced Visual Basic Programmer/Analyst.

 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of recent experience in VB and relevant experience with views, stored procedures, and database functions. Clear and effective oral and written communication skills are a must. The candidate must be able to efficiently switch gears as the business requirements dictate. Candidate must have the maturity and confidence to take responsibility for handling and safeguarding sensitive data.



 

Daily Responsibilities:

 

  * Maintain our proprietary system as well as design, development, and testing of new software

  * Take full ownership of project work: design, develop, implement, maintain & support end user systems

 

 Requirements include but not limited to the following:

* College or equivalent degree. (Documentation a must).

  * Advanced VB 6 skills

* Competent with SQL

* Crystal Reports 

  * Excellent debugging and problem solving skills 

  * Experience creating/altering views, stored procedures, and functions



It would be a plus if experienced with the following:

 ? Oracle 9i
