Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Business Manager

As an integral member of our (Accounting, I.T., Supply Chain etc) team, you will:Support the warehouse management system (WMS) operations and the implementation in multiple regional mixing centers operated by third party logistics providers and Sara Lee plant warehouses.Support the WMS Implementation team resources associated with a functional area.Provide training and documentation to users at each location.Implement reporting and productivity tracking modules at each regional mixing center and Sara Lee plant warehouses.Provide support to the WMS during and after implementation.Schedule and execute implementation plans for functional areas as assigned (inventory, outbound and inbound).Perform mixing center configuration, set-up, etc. as necessary.Provide input to the Sara Lee Regional Warehouse Managers and the WMS Manager regarding system functional upgrades.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supports system implementation timing for each location along with corresponding work  plans.Supports the communication of implementation plans at each warehouse facility.Supports the coordination of and implements "Train the Trainer" sessions with the appropriate individuals at each location.Supports the system start-ups at each site along with support of ongoing system operational issues.Supports the management of implementation budgets for the software (i.e. modifications, consulting services, travel, etc.)Supports system testing and participates in assessing a locations readiness to "go live" on the WMS.Approves system configuration for each site.Oversees all updates or changes to system.Performs assessment of each site to insure locations are in compliance with Sara Lee operational procedures and processes.Serves as key contact with operations and IT for business continuity.


College Degree preferred
Previous Warehouse Manangement System implementation experience (Manhattan experience preferred)
Strong Project Management skills (preferably a system implementation)
50% travel required
Functional Supply Chain understanding required (distribution, transportation, customer service)
Strong analytical and Systems skills required
5-7 years Warehousing experience
