Activities: Design, implement, and maintain cutting edge "Web 2.0" applications. Explore emerging technologies and use them to develop highly scalable data-driven consumer-oriented web applications. Design and develop highly interactive rich internet applications like Flickr, YouTube, and 37signals Basecamp. Must be self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.

 

Skills & Background:3+ years experience with developing web applications: server side scripting (ASP, DHTML, PHP, CGI, Ruby or Python or other scripting language), database interfaces (TSQL, ODBC, etc), XML, web services, Javascript, Ajax, and related application development. A passion for developing consumer-oriented web applications with high back-end scalability. Demonstrate an ability to learn emerging technologies and development strategies. Have expertise in cross browser development (IE, Firefox, Safari) and Web usability and interface design. E-commerce, database design and administration experience a plus. Need to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to work effectively and creatively within a team environment or independently.
