Web Content Manager

T h e Web Content Manager is responsible for maintaining current information that is error free and useful as well as creating new content and acting as a go between for information gathering.

General Accountabilities:
1. Develop, manage and coordinate all areas of online content
2. Develop project plans and schedules/milestones/deadlines for content delivery; coordinate with other team members.
3. Manage necessary information/resources from contractors, internal sources, third parties, other sites, etc., including definition of content/format needs, review processes, legal approval, and routine assessment and updating.
4. Work with graphic designers to define, develop and adhere to site style guide and content rules that provide a consistent voice, tone, and style of online content. Work with marketing team members to write, edit, and produce content, as necessary.
5. Ensure globalization of information and coordination with international offices as necessary to worldwide usability.
6. Manage site utilization activities, including: search engine optimization to increase web-site traffic and utilization and expand opt-in audience.
7. Monitor site performance by producing operating reports and analyses and propose improvement actions.
8. Provide technical support to internal divisional/regional content managers.
9. Manage relationships with third parties, including: ISP, external engines (employment, financial, etc.), multimedia, hosting and creative contractors.
10. Participate as member of the Marketing team in all meetings regarding launches/events that may involve web services.
11. Field feedback/support communication from public site.
12. Manage tasks and workflow of web content management system(s) as necessary
13. Daily scanning of public site for visual/content discrepancies.
14. Seeks out and takes advantage of educational opportunities to update working knowledge of company products and services.
