Web Designer

Web Designer   Under the direction of the Product Manager, the Web Designer is responsible for designing and developing web sites, pages, e-mails, and other graphical solutions for FastWeb and other Monster product teams.

 

Essential Functions:

? Design various web pages, email templates, online/offline promotional materials, and advertising campaigns

? Translate product requirements into graphically pleasing design solutions in line with corporate and product branding and design requirements

? Create rapid design concepts for review and iteration

? Demonstrated understanding of the principles of design, typography and color, and become a resource to evaluate current design templates

? Develop new ideas and approaches to existing creative design process where appropriate

? Effectively communicate design solutions for FastWeb and other Monster web properties

 

 

Requirements:

? BA, BS or Associate?s Degree in Graphic or Interactive Design or a related communications or marketing degree

? 3-5 years of experience as a web or graphic designer

? Experience designing web sites for a large variety of audiences and project types

? Advanced web and design skills, including graphics creation and optimization

? Adept at translating wireframes or prototypes into design comps

? Advanced knowledge of design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash

? Strong attention to detail.

? Good communication skills; able to explain web design proposals and decisions to stakeholders and project requestors. Able to work with web programmers to make sure design is carried through correctly

? Solid understanding and use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required

? Ability to work on multiple projects and under tight deadlines with minimal supervision

? Team player able to work on cross functional teams involving marketing, technology, and other departments

? Site build and production skills a bonus
