Mercer currently has immediate openings for Web Development. This is a contract position. This resource will be primarily allocated to a Web Interface development project. The project duration is approximately 4 months.

o  Responsibilities include:

o  Enforce IT development standards and SDLC methodology.

o  Gather requirements from the subject matter experts and complete the design document, get it signed off before development.

o  Design, develop, test and Implement the customized solutions including screens, database changes that are identified in the project.

o  Design, develop, test and implement the report requirements identified in the project.

o  Meet deadlines and ensure proper delivery of all assigned tasks.

o  Responsible for the quality of all deliverables.

o  Enforce documentation in all phases of SDLC.

o  Technology Skills:

o  5+ years experience working in a client-server environment and architecture doing web design and development.

o  5+ years of hands-on professional web development
experience using Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework, ASP .NET, C#, ADO.NET, Visual Studio .NET(or 2005), Crystal Reports, Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000, IIS web services.

o  3+ years of database experience using SQL Server and proficient in writing stored procedures, complex queries, creating views, transaction SQL and table design/creation.

o  3+ years experience with a scripting language (Javascript, VBScript), CSS, XML, XSL, HTML.

o  Must have some designing experience with digital graphic design tools such as Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.

o  Must display strong knowledge in relational database design and architecture.

o  Good knowledge and experience in object-oriented programming.

o  Must have report design and development experience for web reports.

o  Nice to have prior experience using MS Visio.

o  Bachelor's Degree is a plus, preferably in CS, CIS or related field.
