Web Developer / Quality Assurance

Intuit is currently looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA. As a member of this team you will be part of the Intuit Developers Network which supports the development and deployment of applications that integrate with Quickbooks.

 

This persons role will be split between QA Engineering and Development. We need someone who can fill both roles (wear both hats). They will spend about 55% of their time engineering related tasks including writing asp and html to create new sites and modify existing ones, writing sql queries, reporting on website performance and delivering them in Excel, Updating SQL Databases and SQL backups and 45% owning Quality Assurance of IDN Websites and UI workflow including testing the websites form and functionality, billing/login and reg systems, and SQL databases that drive the dynamic sites.

 

Qualifications:

At least 6 years as a developer with web experience, database experience, hosting experience, html, asp, sql server, JavaScript, XML/ XSL, and MS Excel and test plan creation and hands-on testing experience. Experience with Crystal Reports 10, Database and website reporting systems, or Pivotal Customer Relations Manager is a big plus. Degree in Computer Science would be great, but not required - we are looking for talent, skill and willingness to learn. We need someone who can prove during interviews that they know how to do what their resume says - creating/editing an asp/sql based site, writing and running sql queries, understands architectural diagrams that illustrate how our systems work, understanding of complex data relationships, must have good quality assurance philosophy and not be afraid to ask questions.
