Web Developer for Internet Advertising Firm

An exciting new Internet advertising firm seeks a talented web developer with communication and planning skills to take part in product development and deployment. The ideal candidate has experience integrating interactive components such as Flash, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and related technology into websites. The candidate should have some knowledge of server side and ad serving technology as well.  A qualified candidate possesses the ability to work independently combined with the vision to reconcile work into the larger framework of the company?s products and services.

 

The position has limitless potential, as the company is new and expanding rapidly in a hot market.  While the initial needs are focused on facilitating deployment and building our processes, the position may evolve in many ways.  This is a contract position that could transition into a full time job in a well-positioned startup company.

 

Detailed Responsibilities

 

?  Execute and oversee efforts for development and integration of a software platform dealing with streaming and download of media

?  Improve automation tools and administrative portals to facilitate more efficient integrations over time.

?  Utilize and code in HTML/XML/JavaScript and related technology to integrate with existing and developing information architecture

?  Contribute to product design to enhance reusability of code

?  Develop coding standards

?  Document development workflow

?  Participate in code review with other developers

?  Write specifications and contribute to outsourcing efforts

 

Detailed Qualifications

 

?  3+ years high level site development experience

?  5+ years of general interactive development experience

Solid hands on experience with:

?  HTML design integration

?  Required knowledge JavaScript, Flash, ActionScript, HTML, XML

?  Additional skills (AJAX, XSL, XSLT, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, etc.)

?  Plug in interactions such as Flash, ActiveX, and Assorted Media Players (Windows, Real, QuickTime)
