Responsibilities

? The successful candidate will work within the global operations data center team as a thin client/web services/systems analyst.

? This role is primarily responsible for providing technical services and infrastructure support to the natural gas, power, and NGL trading and scheduling business.

? Our client is looking for an exceptional individual with good interpersonal skills and strong technical skills in Thin Client and Web Services Administration supporting Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Server / Citrix MetaFrame XPE, Apache Tomcat, IIS, Weblogic, and .NET applications focused on trading and scheduling in a ?high availability? environment.

? The individual will be responsible for;

o  Assist in the support of Web based applications and Citrix hosted applications.

o  Assist in the design, development and implementation of tools for automating team tasks.

o  Assist in making recommendations to the project teams for the appropriate sizing and scalability of server hardware for Web based applications.

o  Assist in planning, testing, and configuration of applications hosted via Citrix MetaFrame XPe.

o  Providing level 3 support to the support desk.

o  Plan and implement global mandated hot fixes and patches.

o  Monitor and troubleshoot Windows 2000/2003 servers.

o  Produce appropriate documentation of servers and processes.

? Maintenance, support, and deployment of various web technologies to include IIS, Apache Tomcat, .NET and Weblogic.

? Ensure 99.99% reliability of Citrix Server components in Production environment.

? Automate common tasks using appropriate scripting languages.

? Document environment and processes.

 

Required Skills

? In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and Apache Tomcat, including maintenance, administration and troubleshooting.

? Working knowledge of at least one scripting language such as VBscript, VB.NET, or C#.

? Experience with .NET frameworks and MSMQ.

? Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 2000 and 2003.

? Knowledge of Citrix MetaFrame XPe, including maintenance, administration and troubleshooting.

? Experience with large-scale enterprise wide environments containing multiple farms with many servers.

? Experience with the Citrix NFuse web product.

? Working knowledge of clustering, load-balancing, and content switching.

? Working knowledge of Application and Desktop publishing through ICA and RDP.

? Experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a wide range of external and in-house written applications.

? 5 ? 7 years of industry experience with 2+ years of Microsoft IIS, .NET, Apache Tomcat, or Weblogic experience.

 

Preferred

? Microsoft, Apache, or Citrix certifications a plus but not required.
