Web-based Applications Developer

Reporting to the Director, WW Knowledge Sharing, the Knowledge Sharing Applications Developer is responsible for planning, developing, and deploying web-based applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new applications and supporting legacy applications (ASP 3.0) including identifying and specifying new strategic applications for development that are intuitive, allow for effective accumulation, cataloging, and sharing of knowledge among employees and clients globally. S/he is also responsible for modernizing development techniques by developing a transition plan to newer technologies, especially ASP.Net, while maintaining existing code base. In addition, the Knowledge Sharing Applications Developer will write code, configure and maintain databases, test, and refine on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience in web based applications, preferably in a professional services industry. Application and database development skills, including programming environments such as .Net, Active Server Pages, SQL, HTML, and JavaScript are required. S/he will have demonstrated the ability to articulate information issues to clients and staff, and to translate information systems and issues to business solutions. The Knowledge Sharing Applications Developer must possess strong analytical, presentation, listening, and written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Active Directory and ADSI, a strong degree of motivation, the ability to motivate others, as well as interest in a creative industry is a plus.
