WebTrends Instructor: Technical Specialist

WebTrends is the leader in web analytics. The goal of the WebTrends Technical Instructor is to minimize the time required for our customers to receive business value from their WebTrends solution and provide them with the necessary skills to effectively manage the solution by helping customers implement WebTrends and conducting classroom-based training.??

Primary Responsibilities:???????? Deliver technical, classroom-based training to WebTrends customers using established courseware???????? Perform on-site and remote implementation services for WebTrends customers???????? Conduct informal training and provide guidance to customers in implementing best practices???????? Assist in the development and review of training materials

Interaction:

This position is a customer-facing position.? Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers is required.? Ability to understand customer requirements and our products and then combine and translate that information into increased customer success is critical.

This position operates in a team-oriented environment.? As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships internally with the sales, sales engineers, account management team, product management, customer support and product marketing.?

Required EducationCollege degree or equivalent experience

?

Required Experience/Skills???????? Minimum of 2-3 years experience in web development, product support, training, or consulting in a high-tech environment.???????? Strong presentation skills required and experience providing classroom training to adult learners highly preferred.Strong knowledge of internet and Web technologies required (HTML, XML, Flash, JavaScript, proxy servers, web security, data warehousing, content management systems).Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript required.???????? Proficiency with ecommerce and/or content management systems highly preferred.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel preferred.???????? Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences verbally and in writing.Ongoing desire to stay current with software market and the latest technologies. ???????? Strong work ethic focused on providing excellent customer service.Accountable, determined, diligent and focused. Relentless about results

Working Conditions

You must be a self-starter, as this job is a position requiring extensive travel. Travel requirements will vary and may be as much as 80%.

While the company is located in Portland, Oregon and applicants from this area may be given preference, we will consider applicants from any major US city.
