Windows / Linux Systems Administrator

Modis is seeking a Windows / Linux Systems Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Charlotte, NC.

 

Job Description:

? Perform problem analysis resulting in resolution of product and/or service related problems. This includes the appropriate referral to other service areas, follow-up, testing, and troubleshooting. As a part of troubleshooting, you may be responsible for reproducing the issue in a test environment, suggesting workarounds, and working with 3rd-party support organizations through issue resolution;
? Answer customer inquires, either via phone or email, in a timely, courteous, and professional manner;
? When required, escalate events in a timely manner to the appropriate individual according to documented escalation procedures;
? Identify, resolve, and communicate customer and product satisfaction issues to management;
? Be the customer advocate. Present technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through email and phone calls;
? Track issues using trouble ticketing system and follow issues to resolution or provide hand off to succeeding engineer;
? Assist in the implementation of products/services;
? Participate in special projects including team communications, product planning, and training;
? Serve as the primary technical on-call resource for managed services customer base;
? Maintain a working level of proficiency with all services;
? Support internal IT infrastructure as required;
? Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
? Other as assigned by your supervisor.

The minimum requirements for this position include:

- Microsoft Windows Administration experience
- Linux administration experience (10% of duties).

- VMWare or Microsoft Virtual Server experience
- Sharepoint experience
- Exchange experience
