Wireless Telecom SQL Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for reporting the product integration, implementation, billing and management of all new data products and lifecycle management of existing data products to ensure they are compliant & meet the business standards and requirements. Manage highly complex projects that require constant interpretation to meet business objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with External Vendors, Wireless Network, IT and Area Revenue Assurance departments through the integration, implementation and lifecycle management process. Responsible for all aspects of product, implementation, launch and on-going product review (complete Life-Cycle Product Management) and will be required to interact with Headquarter (Marketing, IT, Network, Customer Care, Finance and Segmentation) departments. Required to provide technical support, which includes guidance to, Network, IT and Billing during the development and launch of a new and existing data products.

Monitor, evaluate, investigate and report on all data products & services transactions to identify trends and continually reevaluate the need for changes. Responsible for creating daily reconciliation processes and reporting for all data products (Usage Detail Reconciliation). Perform periodic system and compliance audits of the network, billing and financial systems (Network to Bill Reconciliation). Responsible for developing and implementing error management processes for all data products that flow through the Data Rater (Error Handling). Responsible for the testing of all new devices that enter the Wireless market place and ensure they are compliant & meet the National Data Revenue Assurance billable standards. (Device/Product Testing) Make recommendations to resolve billing discrepancies and work with all impacted departments to implement necessary changes. Provide ad-hoc database and revenue assurance reporting requests to incorporate all aspects of our business. Comply with quarterly Sarbanes Oxley audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Strong working experience in Microsoft related applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
? Exceptional Microsoft Access skills with a primary focus on database creation and manipulation.
? Ability to understand and apply statistical concepts to daily functions and reporting.
? In-depth understanding of Visual Basic for Applications, SQL, and Monarch with the ability to automate and enhance existing functions.
? Core understanding and ability to pull reports and trend data using VZW Data Warehouse
? Advanced knowledge of Excel, Cognos/Data Warehouse, Access, and PowerPoint
? Extensive Internet & PC Applications experience (e.g. Firewalls, VPN clients)
? 4+ years in product management in software, telecommunications, or wireless data services company.
? Minimum 4 years direct Wireless Data technical experience (CDMA: Cellular Digital Packet Data - CDPD, Circuit Switch Cellular, IS95A, 1XRTT, EVDO, etc.)
? Extensive knowledge or and experience with billing systems and billing practices.
? Project Management experience including the managing of multiple projects.
? Experience designing test plans for new products/billing systems changes.
? Knowledge of general accounting including processes and internal controls.
? Possesses a basic understand of company?s financial system and the ability to partner with Finance to ensure integrity of related financial reports and analyses.
? Demonstrated experience in business case development and analysis, demonstrates strong financial knowledge and capability utilizing strong analytical and quantitative skills.
? Product/Program/Project Management experience
? Financial Analysis/Business Case Development
? Strong business negotiation skills
? CDMA Data, GPRS/UMTS and new wireless technology knowledge (ex. Bluetooth)
? Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
? Possess a basic understanding of the company's financial system and the ability to partner with finance to ensure integrity of related financial reports and analysis.
? Demonstrated aptitude to differentiate trends and relationships from a base of complex information, relate and compare data from different sources and identify cause and effect relationships.
