:: Description:
The QA Manager (Financial Applications) will be responsible for leading a high-performance feature driven QA team with a focus on general accounting and billing functionality (Contracts/Orders/General Ledger etc.). You must have a proven track record of success building, leading and managing a functional and technical QA team with a strong sense of quality ownership and feature advocation. This is a hands-on job that requires strategic thinking and planning to provide leadership and expertise throughout the entire QA lifecycle, ensuring the success of you and your team's manual and automation efforts. You will work with a team of demanding, highly motivated QA engineers and developers and will be expected to both challenge and be challenged. In order to effectively manage this team, you will have superior leadership skills, a solid background using object oriented methodologies, expertise in black box testing methodologies, extensive experience and knowledge of standard QA and development tools and the agility to operate within short release cycles. You will have strong experience driving tactical and strategic objectives in an assertive, fast-growing, mission-critical Quality Engineering organization. Operational knowledge and experience in on-demand, software services development is a plus.

:: Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in the features/product areas owned by your team, and using that expertise to advocate on behalf of the customer in feature team meetings. This also involves a constant oversight of a unique requirement in on-demand web services model - assuring that changes to existing functionality are truly required and correctly deployed.
- Assisting your team in the development of all testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk
- Ensuring test planning, execution, and reporting is effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated.
- This position requires healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment.
- Daily management of objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, risk and performance management of all reporting staff.

:: Required Skills/Experience:
- 5-7 yrs of QA experience in a software company with min. of 3 yrs in QA management role
- Expertise at functionality, technology and end-to-end IT processes associated with Enterprise Financial Applications (Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, JDEdwards, etc.)
- Expert at SQA methodologies, tools and approaches (black box, white box and automated testing experience)
- Experience in managing complex functional testing projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies
- Strong technical skills with the ability to manage the team's automation testing efforts
- Extensive knowledge of QA tools, such SilkTest and Junit, and methodologies
- Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, impeccable organizational and time management skills
- Experience building, training and retaining a sizeable QA organization;
- Agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize on the fly.
- Know and care about what the customer wants from our service -- and willing to stand up for it!
- Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and have worked on a product that was actually released for public consumption
- Bachelor's Degree. A BS in CS or EE preferred.
